Using machine learning to extract richer measures of glaucoma worsening from imaging and visual field data, Dr. Zebardast will identify the genes and biological pathways that drive glaucoma progression.

Ryoji Amamto, PhD: Preserving Cone Photoreceptors in Dry Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Amamoto lab members are tackling the root cause of daylight color vision loss in dry AMD, cone photoreceptor degeneration, by developing a novel AAV-based gene therapy to promote cone survival in mouse models of dry AMD.
