Eric Pierce, MD, PhD, OGI Director and William F. Chatlos Professor of Ophthalmology at HMS, received the Foundation Fighting Blindness’ highest honor, the Llura Liggett Gund Award, at the 2026 FFB Retinal Therapeutics Innovation Summitt May 1st

Dr Pierce was recognized not only for his many scientific contributions in gene discovery, genetic diagnostics, and therapeutic development for Inherited Retinal disorders   but also for his exceptional commitment to mentorship, collaboration and service.
