Meet the team
Dr. Zebardast’s research focuses on precision medicine approaches for glaucoma, integrating artificial intelligence and genetics to better understand disease risk, progression, and treatment response. She uses image-based machine learning to identify structural and longitudinal glaucoma phenotypes and to study the genetic basis of disease susceptibility and progression. In parallel, she leverages natural language processing to improve clinical phenotyping and to identify treatment response from real-world medical records, enabling large-scale genetic studies of therapeutic outcomes. Together, this work aims to advance personalized glaucoma care and preserve vision.
